A Purr-fect Rescue: Shakedown Street Finds Homes for Three Adorable Kittens

Last week, Shakedown Street had a surprise visit from three tiny, furry friends who quickly became part of the family. While preparing for a busy day, the team noticed a little meow chorus coming from behind the store. Upon investigation, they found three stray kittens nestled together, a bit dirty and frightened, but too cute to resist. These three kittens, whom fate would name Bug, Beezlebub, and Bitsy, received immediate love and attention from Shakedown's caring crew.

Once they were safely inside, the kittens were each given a name that, serendipitously, all started with “B.” First up was Bug, the smallest and friendliest of the trio. Next was Beezlebub, a tiny black kitten with a mischievous streak that fit the name perfectly. Last but not least, Bitsy, a dainty little fluffball, won hearts with her big, curious eyes.

With the help of some pet-loving friends, Shakedown Street’s team sprang into action to make sure each kitten received a fresh start. After baths and checkups, Bug, Beezlebub, and Bitsy were as good as new, ready to find their forever homes.

Bug, the College-Bound KittenBug was the first to be adopted, finding a home with a Western Michigan University student who happened to be a longtime Shakedown Street customer. Bug is now set for college life with a loving new “cat parent,” where we’re sure this playful kitty will have plenty of space to explore, toys to play with, and a cozy dorm to call home.

Beezlebub, a Shakedown Mascot at HeartBeezlebub, with his playful antics and slight streak of mischief, found a perfect match with a lifelong Shakedown Street customer. This kitten’s adventurous spirit and charm have found the right home where he’ll be a daily reminder of the heartwarming community connections that Shakedown values. We have a feeling we’ll get updates on Beezlebub’s many adventures!

Bitsy, the Sweetest New Family FriendBitsy, the gentle soul of the group, found her forever home with a family friend of Shakedown Street. She’s already settling in, exploring her new home with gentle curiosity and a sweet, calm nature that fits her new family perfectly. Bitsy has won their hearts just as quickly as she did ours, and we couldn’t be happier for her.

At Shakedown Street, it’s not unusual to have a few four-legged visitors, but finding these three kittens felt like something special. Bug, Beezlebub, and Bitsy brought an unexpected dose of joy and connection to the Shakedown community, reminding us all of the kindness, fun, and friendship that can be found in our little corner of the world.

We’re grateful to everyone who helped us give these kittens a new chance at life and a loving home.
